Marcus Langley is a Program Manager at Big Win Philanthropy. He has over six years’ experience in the humanitarian and international development sectors. In the four years prior to joining Big Win, Marcus was an independent research and communications consultant, working with and advising UN agencies, European Union, Organisation for Economic and Co-operation and Development, UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and several governments in Africa and the Middle East. Adept in both qualitative and quantitative methodologies, his research expertise includes post-conflict recovery and peacebuilding, humanitarian inclusion, and monitoring and evaluation. He is contributing author to a book, published by Bloomsbury in 2022, that explores why efforts by the international development community to end violent conflicts have failed. Marcus holds an MSc in Global Politics from Birkbeck, University of London, and a BA (Hons) in Geography from the University of Manchester.
