Transforming Nairobi: Governor Sakaja Aligns Leadership on Key Priorities

Cabinet Workshops: Accelerating Roadmaps for Implementation

Update: Transforming Nairobi: Governor Sakaja Aligns Leadership on Key Priorities

February 4, 2025

Governor Sakaja Johnson convened his Cabinet to align on four priority areas that will underpin his Administration’s focus over the remaining two and a half years of his term, and to develop robust implementation plans for their execution. These priorities—county service efficiency, early childhood development, revenue enhancement, and the Nairobi Greenway Project—are aligned with his broader vision to transform Nairobi into a city of order, dignity, hope and opportunity.

Over the course of two days, 56 Cabinet members and senior government officials clarified outcome targets for each priority and developed cross-sectoral roadmaps for achieving these goals. A global expert joined each table, drawing from their expertise to serve as a reference point and help guide discussions—posing strategic questions and sharing relevant insights to help the high-level delegates navigate complex challenges and develop clear, actionable plans.
