President Akinwumi Adesina of the African Development Bank and representatives of Ethiopia, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Madagascar, Malawi, Mozambique, Niger, Tanzania and Uganda met on the sidelines of the 77th United Nations General Assembly to form the Presidential Dialogue on Nutrition. The leaders signed a landmark commitment to end childhood stunting, promising to identify high-burden regions in their countries and to champion a contextually appropriate, multisectoral response to dramatically reduce those regions’ stunting burden.
